Legal professional privilege (LPP) matters. There will be occasions when it is desirable to create and maintain LPP between an in-house lawyer and his/her “client”.
There can be difficulties around LPP in an in-house context (as opposed to a typical external lawyer–client relationship). However, there are practical steps, which are set out below, that both the “client” and in-house counsel can take to create and maintain LPP.
